Network Error 1001 is most likely because the connection to the servers on Onkyo/Pioneer/Integra thats temporary is down or undergoing maintenance.

Logout and login again.

The error can also emerge because the domain "onkyo.com" is inaccessible from your country (firewall issue). A solution here would be do use a web proxy to reach the site through USA.
If you cant get it to work even if the server issue has been fixed perform a soft reset. Turn off your receiver and unplug from the outlet for one or two minutes. After that time plug the receiver back into the outlet and try to rerun your applications and login.
In some cases a Factory Reset of the AVR device is necessary.
