Dirac Live crashes when started, help!

Solution 1 - Follow these steps carefully.

  • Windows users: First perform a proper uninstall of Dirac Live through the Windows “Add or Remove Programs” panel.

  • Mac users: Use the Dirac "Maintenance Tool" to perform a proper uninstall of the software. You can find this tool through the following path:

/Applications/Dirac/maintenancetool

Once Dirac Live has been uninstalled, please reboot the computer. Then install Dirac Live again, but before you run the software please do yet another reboot of the computer. After this second reboot, Dirac Live should open up normally.

Solution 2 - Check so the microphone has full access/permission to be in used inside Dirac Live.

  • Windows users:
    Privacy & Security settings -> then select “Microphone” and make sure it is set to allow access. Both in general and that apps also have access.
    Also have a look at System -> Sound -> then select Microphone. Access must be set to “On” or "Allow" (the text you see should read "Don't allow")

  • Mac users: macOS System Preferences => Security & Privacy => Microphone => Dirac Live => ON
