Would it be optimal to align the subs, say front vs back with the front getting the LFE signal before running ART? or is it better to let Dirac do it? Or possibly align the pairs to themselves?

Aligning subwoofers

Alignment with regards to level (make them as loud relative to the other speakers as you think you will want them after calibration) and phase (set all subs to ”0 phase”) would not hurt, although not necessary. What is improved already in the analog domain will require less fixing in the digital domain, thereby possibly saving on the digital headroom.
