Dirac Live is not opening up on my computer. I only see a slightly transparent window of it.
This issue seems to be related to the Windows graphics drivers, mostly happening on generation i5, or i7 CPUs. An update or even downgrade of the graphics drivers might solve the problem. Here is a workaround solution which has proven to solve the issue for a lot of end users:
– Right-click on This PC in Windows Explorer and select “Properties”
– Click the “Advanced system settings” link
– Open the “Advanced” tab
– Click the “Environment Variables…” button
– Click the “New…” button under “User variables for “
– Enter the following:
Variable name: QSG_RHI_PREFER_SOFTWARE_RENDERER
Variable value: 1
– Click “OK”
– Restart the Dirac Live application
Workaround speed version+:
– Press the Windows button or the search field, type "env" and press enter
– Click the “Environment Variables…” button
– Click the “New…” button under “User variables for “
– Enter the following:
Variable name: QSG_RHI_PREFER_SOFTWARE_RENDERER
Variable value: 1
– Click “OK”
– Restart the Dirac Live application
